Caffeine Sensitive
I am sensitive to stimulants like maca root and caffeine. Prior to purchasing this product, I would make myself a cocktail of: beet juice, cranberry juice, tart cherry juice and pomegranate juice. Knowing that I was already sensitive to maca root and caffeine, I decided to give this product a try to replace my cocktail mixture. Unfortunately, I can no longer take this product due to the caffeine. I mention maca root only because I read the ingredients for the new Power Greens product. I love the idea of both these products, but will have to take a pass based on the negative affects of the stimulates experienced in Power Beets and I suspect a greater problem with Power Greens because of the maca root in addition to the green coffee bean extract and green tea extract.

This product is incredibly sweet. I don't like that it has some many extra ingredients like ascorbic acid that we should run from. The label doesn't say how many grams of beets are in a scoop. And why take twice a day? At this price why is it not organic. It seems that other quality organic beet powders are just as effective and much more affordable. There just isn't enough info here to make me believe that it's any better than plain organic beet powder and my usual B vitamins. My practitioner believes in it… but I think it's ordinary and expensive…. I'm going elsewhere.

I’m sorry, I find this so sweet and unnaturally flavored I can barely drink it. I have had it for three months and have about a fourth of the pouch left. I love beets. I guess that is why I can barely tolerate this product. And it it soooo sweet. I like the flavor of the Power Beets. My husband and I add it to our blended carrot, apple, ginger drink, or stir into Concord grape juice to drink before a workout. I'd like to say it helps with energy, staying power, and recovery, however, I knot that's subjective, and may require more experimenting, although using nitrate-rich foods pre-workout has been found to help improve recovery and performance. They have a sweet flavor.

First of all, I am not a lover of beets and was hesitant to try this product based on cost (didn't want to waste money if I didn't like it). I was very surprised how great it tasted. It mixed in water very easily. I had started it 2 weeks before my PCP annual appointment. To my delight, my blood pressure was lower than it had been in years. Well within the normal range - more like when I was a teenager. Definitely worth the cost to keep my health optimized.

CITRIC ACID is in the ingredients
I've tried & tried the Red Beet Root Powder. But I cannot tolerate it because it contains CITRIC ACID (not Citrus acid) My bladder cannot tolerate that caustic acid. Citric acid inflames my bladder every time. All the other ingredients are wonderful. It's too bad about the Citric acid.

I'm a 'young' 78-year-old female who's taking care of a wheelchair bound 94-year-old man with dementia....24/7.
