Over time, toxins in your intestinal system can damage your health.
Keep things fresh with Bowel Detox, an herbal blend that provides a cornucopia of ingredients for colon health and happiness.
With a unique, effective and synergistic blend of fibers (psyllium hulls, algin, apple pectin), herbs (cascara sagrada, ginger), detoxifiers (charcoal, chlorophyll and bentonite) and enzymes, Bowel Detox encourages regularity, supports digestion and helps remove toxins.
Bowel Detox promotes healthy, regular elimination of waste from the colon. Psyllium, algin and apple pectin are all excellent sources of soluble fiber, which creates an increase in intestinal bulk, easing the movement of digested food through the intestines.
Bowel Detox provides digestive enzymes to aid digestion in the upper gastrointestinal tract along with ingredients to provide needed bulk and to encourage proper flow of waste through the colon.
Bowel Detox also contains bentonite, charcoal and chlorophyll. As these ingredients bind to harmful chemicals and toxins in the body, they prevent the absorption of them, protecting the whole body, not just the bowels.
The end result is that toxins spend less time in the bowel. This reduces the time that toxins can affect intestinal cells or be reabsorbed into the body.
Don't let poor digestion & toxins damage your health!
Give your GI tract some lovin' with Bowel Detox.
Betaine Hydrochloride
Betaine hydrochloride helps create an acidic environment to facilitate the activity of pepsin. The stomach manufactures hydrochloric acid to break down proteins. But, as people age, they may produce less hydrochloric acid, which can affect the amount of protein they can break down and ultimately absorb. Inefficient protein digestion can affect the viability of the intestinal flora that feast on these compounds. Prior to 1993, betaine hydrochloride was available over the counter as a digestive aid. But since then, it is only sold in supplement form. Traditional use includes tired blood, arterial support, low potassium levels, yeast imbalance, liver support and more.
Bile Extract
Bile makes fats soluble, preparing them for further digestion by lipase. Bile binds to fats and oils and emulsify them in the gut. Bile may help with gas and bloating stemming from inefficient digestion. Bile also helps the body absorb fat-soluble vitamins, like vitamins A, D, E, and K.
Pancreatin
Pancreatin is a combination of pancreatic juices that aids in the digestion of a variety of foodstuffs. After food reaches the small intestine, pancreatin further digests protein, carbohydrates and fats in the small intestine. Pancreatin also helps to support the pancreas.
Pepsin
Pepsin is an enzyme that is produced naturally in the body to aid in the digestion of dietary proteins. Pepsin helps pre-digest proteins in the stomach. By aiding in the breakdown of proteins, pepsin can help relieve symptoms of stomach upset, bloating and gas. Although pepsin is a powerful enzyme, it only breaks down proteins in the presence of hydrochloric acid. Pepsin also helps to detoxify the bowel by promoting better digestion which leads to improved intestinal transit time and better elimination of metabolic waste.
Psyllium
Psyllium is an excellent source of soluble fiber that increases intestinal bulk to ease the movement of digested food through the gut. Psyllium has been part of Indian Ayurvedic Medicine for nearly 5,000 years! It grows natively in India and parts of Asia and has been used as a natural, cooling and gentle colon cleanser to support gut health and aid intestinal elimination. Plus, psyllium hulls can play an important part in helping the body support normal-range cholesterol levels.
Algin
Algin, or sodium alginate, supports a healthy intestinal system as it facilitates detoxification. Algin is an important carbohydrate material extracted from brown seaweed. Algin contains non-digestible mucilage (a type of fiber) that absorbs water, creating a gel that soothes the intestines and binds to toxins and heavy metal ions. Alginic acid, which is converted to sodium alginate, helps maintain the mucus linings of the GI tract. Its bulking action also encourages normal elimination.
Cascara Sagrada
Cascara sagrada helps to keep things moving by stimulating the movement of the intestines and increasing the content of water in the bowel. The end result is that toxins spend less time in the bowel, thereby reducing the time that they can affect intestinal cells or be absorbed into the body. Cascara’s hydroxyanthracene derivatives also support the body’s detoxification processes. Cascara sagrada has been used as a natural laxative throughout the world, ever since it was introduced to Spanish settlers in the 1600s.
Ginger
Ginger has been used as both food and medicine in Asia for thousands of years. Traditionally, ginger has helped with a laundry list of complaints, including cold, fever, joint discomfort, aches, cramps, nervous system support, oral health, circulatory health, plus indigestion, gas, nausea and vomiting. Researchers have found that ginger may help settle the stomach during times of occasional nausea, motion sickness and morning sickness.
Activated Charcoal
Charcoal was used by the Phoenicians more than 2,000 years ago to help purify their water. In fact, some sea voyagers stored their drinking water in charred barrels. Activated charcoal is highly adsorbent. Our pure charcoal binds itself to harmful chemicals and toxins in the gut, slowing or preventing their absorption and protecting the whole body. It also helps reduce gas and bloating.
Marshmallow
Marshmallow is well-known for its soothing properties, especially for the mucous membranes. Marshmallow naturally contains mucilage, which provides demulcent (soothing) effects on the digestive and intestinal systems. Since the stomach and intestines are lined with these protective membranes, marshmallow eases irritation in the gastrointestinal tract. Marshmallow is also considered mildly laxative and is often used for various intestinal conditions. Marshmallow’s pectin fiber helps the body get rid of substances that often collect or stick to these membranes.
Chlorophyll
Sodium copper chlorophyllin (chlorophyll) is a water-soluble salt that has been used orally as an internal deodorant for over 50 years. Chlorophyll helps support the body's blood-cleansing functions and strengthens the immune and intestinal systems. Chlorophyll also acts as a particularly potent natural antioxidant that may help keep cells healthy by protecting them from oxidative damage. Chlorophyll supports the body’s natural detox pathways by inducing expression of detoxification and antioxidant enzymes.
Bentonite
Bentonite is a natural clay that comes from volcanic ash that has undergone significant weathering and contains a variety of beneficial minerals. Taken internally, it supports the intestinal system and detoxification. Microfine, medicinal grade particles of this natural clay help eliminate toxins from the body to help you feel good again. Therapeutically, when taken internally, bentonite supports the intestinal system in the elimination of toxins due to its ability to ‘adsorb’ toxins and other molecules from watery environments in the digestive tract.
