Indole-3-Carbinol

Indole-3-carbinol (I3C) is an antioxidant phytochemical (plant compound) found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kale and cauliflower. I3C promotes cell health by supporting immune system function, balancing hormone metabolism, and inducing detoxifying enzymes. I3C helps maintain hormonal balance in cells and may help protect estrogen-influenced organs, including breast tissue and reproductive organs, from cellular damage. I3C also facilitates the body's detoxification processes. I3C stimulates enzymes in the gut and liver that break down environmental pollutants, steroid hormones and toxins into less harmful substances, which can then be excreted from the body.

Broccoli flowers are a plentiful source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids that support immune health and hormone regulation. Broccoli flowers also contain lutein, an antioxidant carotenoid that helps protect healthy cells from damage caused by free radicals.
