When your gut is punching you, punch back with herbs traditionally used for cramps.
Cramp Relief…the name says it all.
Manage menstrual discomfort naturally and support hormone balance.
Many women experience some cramping during menses. Most of the herbs in our Cramp Relief formula were used by Native Americans or early settlers to relieve menstrual cramps.*
Cramp Relief contains herbs that have been used traditionally to help the body relax contracted muscles and ease cramping during menstruation.
Cramp Relief also contains several herbs that are antispasmodic and support various body systems to help in the management of menstrual discomfort.
Cramp Bark
Cramp bark is a flowering bush native to Europe and parts of Africa and Asia, although it's grown in many parts of the world, including North America. The bark of the plant has traditionally been used to relieve cramps and fluid retention. Native Americans also smoked cramp bark as a substitute for tobacco. Some research suggests that cramp bark may work as a natural muscle relaxer to help relax muscles and ease muscle spasms and cramps.
Black Cohosh
Black cohosh possesses mild estrogenic properties (phytoestrogens) and helps balance female hormone levels by binding to estrogen receptor sites. Balanced hormone levels help ease common "monthly" symptoms. By supporting healthy hormone balance, black cohosh may promote a positive mood and help uplift mild mood changes (so-called dark moods) that often accompany female discomfort. Plus, black cohosh provides antispasmodic properties to help relax cramping muscles and muscle spasms, including those associated with premenstrual and menstrual cycles.
Plantain
Plantain grows freely everywhere—in lawns, parks, trails and along roadsides—and is often dismissed as a weed. Yet, plantain leaves are both edible and used as a natural remedy in traditional herbal medicine. Plantain leaves have been used to soothe tissue irritation. Plantain leaves have been used traditionally to help relieve fluid build-up in the pelvic region that is sometimes associated with menstrual cramps.
Lobelia
Lobelia works as a universal relaxant. Lobelia offers natural components that support and calm the nervous system and help to relax muscle spasms and cramps. One of its key constituents, lobeline, acts in a way similar to nicotine, calming the nervous system by inhibiting the reuptake of dopamine, also known as the “feel-good” hormone.
Wild Yam
Wild yam root has long been used to nourish and promote dietary support and balance for the female glandular system. Wild yam has been used for centuries by Native Americans and early settlers for a variety of issues, including women’s health, targeted gut support, gastrointestinal issues, energy, and joint health. Wild yam is perhaps best-known today for supporting the health of mature women. Wild yam helps support ideal hormone levels and enhances female glandular and reproductive health.
