Super Algae fires up your immune system with the three most popular algae supplements.
Super Algae combines all the benefits of spirulina, chlorella and the famous Klamath Lake blue-green variety.
Algae have been part of the human diet for thousands of years, based on archaeological evidence.
Algae has a high nutritional value, providing proteins, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants.
Regarded as a super-food, algae is rich in easily assimilated essential nutrients like vitamin B12, which supports immune function and plays a key role in healthy blood cell formation.
Super Algae maximizes the content of each algae species for a balanced, nutritional formula that stimulates your immune system and promotes healthy blood cell production.
Spirulina
Spirulina is a super-food that contains two-and-a-half times more vitamin B12 than liver. Spirulina provides a variety of nutrients, including vitamin A, B-vitamins, protein, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, chlorophyll, enzymes, and prebiotics. Spirulina is also the best botanical source of complete protein available. Spirulina supports the nervous system and healthy brain function and helps revitalize the body on the cellular level. Spirulina's rich supply of antioxidants helps protect the brain from free radical damage. Spirulina also contains the amino acid tryptophan, which plays a key role in the body's production of serotonin and the regulation of stress, mood and appetite. And, spirulina has recently been shown to have beneficial effects on joint health via its antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties.
Klamath Lake Blue-Green Algae
Klamath Lake blue-green algae is a rich source of bioavailable nutrients, including protein, all 22 amino acids, vitamins C, E and K, B-vitamins, macro and trace minerals, and essential fatty acids. It is one of the most concentrated food sources available. Considered a super-food, Klamath Lake blue-green algae boosts energy levels, stimulates immune function, promotes a healthy inflammatory response, and may enhance mood, concentration and memory. Some research suggests it could also play a role in the detoxification of heavy metals and other toxins. With nearly 300 sunny days per year and far from polluting cities, Klamath Lake in southern Oregon provides the perfect freshwater home to its famous blue-green algae. This colorful plant-like substance, also called Aphanizomenon flos-aquae or AFA, has been making its home in this lake for more than 2,000 years.
Chlorella
Chlorella is a freshwater green algae noted for its rich chlorophyll content. Nutritionally comparable to spirulina, chlorella provides a little less protein and only a fraction of the beta-carotene, but more than double the chlorophyll content. Chlorella also supports detoxification by modulating antioxidant enzymes and may help with heavy metal detoxification. Plus, chlorella is a powerful antioxidant, supports immune system function, and acts as a cofactor in the production of cellular e nergy.
Proprietary blend of Spirulina, Blue-green algae and Chlorella.
The spirulina in our Super Algae grows in sunny southern California, away from the polluted air of the cities. And while some algae products on the market are contaminated with cyanobacterial toxins, our partner cultures spirulina in alkaline water with a pH of 10+ to prevent toxic algae.
Then we analyze the spirulina to ensure that no toxins or contaminants are present. Nature’s Sunshine meticulously tests raw ingredients for microbes, pesticides, heavy metals and allergens, because good-for-you ingredients yield a better blend to help you feel the power of nature.
Nature’s Sunshine Spirulina is green and clean. It’s also non-GMO project verified, gluten-free, Kosher- and Halal-certified and free from preservatives and dyes.
Take 2 to 3 capsules with a meal three times daily.
