Vital eye support powered by herbal extracts!
Today’s eyes endure so much—phones, tablets, TVs & computers—it’s time to give them some love.
Gain antioxidant protection for aging eyes and support macular health with NSP's Perfect Eyes®!
Perfect Eyes® is formulated to support proper eye function and help maintain healthy vision.
Our eyes are constantly exposed to sunlight and artificial lighting, which can generate cell-damaging free radicals. After middle age, our natural antioxidant production decreases and the protective pigments in our eyes change.
Perfect Eyes® provides lots of antioxidant power to help protect eyes from free radicals that can damage cells in the retina and other parts of the eye.
And, Perfect Eyes® supports eye health with ingredients inspired by the AREDS (Age-Related Eye Disease Study) study findings from 2001 and 2006.
The first AREDS study found that a blend of vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, zinc and copper helped reduce the risk of progression on Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) by 25% in five years.
The second study (AREDS2) added lutein, zeaxanthin and omega-3 fatty acids to the mix for added benefits.
Perfect Eyes® herbal formula includes a proprietary antioxidant blend featuring lutein, zeaxanthin, beta-carotene (vitamin A), vitamin C, turmeric and other nutrients to help reduce the risk of light-induced oxidative damage that can lead to age-related macular degeneration.
Each serving of Perfect Eyes® provides 18mg of lutein and 3.6 mg of zeaxanthin, which benefit eye health by also blocking blue light from reaching the underlying structures in the retina.
Set your sights on Perfect Eyes® to support macular health and optimal night vision, and to help filter damaging blue light and UV radiation from the macula.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is essential for maintaining eye health and especially night vision. Vitamin A is also a strong antioxidant. The two major forms of vitamin A are retinol, provided in foods of animal origin; and beta-carotene, found in plants, which is converted into vitamin A by the body as needed. Beta-carotene is basically the yellow or orange pigment that gives many vegetables, fruits, flowers and other plants their colors. It is estimated that less than 20% of the American population consumes adequate fresh fruits and vegetables to acquire the RDA for vitamin A.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that works together with vitamin E to combat free radicals that can damage eye tissues, including the lens and retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. Vitamin C also supports macular health—the macula is the central part of the retina responsible for sharp, straight-ahead vision. Plus, vitamin C is essential for the production of collagen, which provides structure and support for the connective tissues and blood vessels in the eyes.
Zinc
Zinc is essential for the proper functioning of the retina and plays a vital role in maintaining and improving low-light vision. Zinc is required for the production of visual pigments in the retina, which are essential for seeing in dim light or at night. Studies suggest that zinc supplementation, especially when combined with vitamin A, can help improve night vision in those who are zinc-deficient. Plus, zinc helps transport vitamin A to the retina, where it then aids in the production of melanin, a pigment that protects the eyes from UV light.
Copper
Copper is not only good for general health, but it's also beneficial for eye health, according to the Age-Related Eye Diseases Study (AREDS). Copper plays an important role in supporting eye health and maintaining vision. Copper is needed for the production of melanin, a protective eye pigment. Copper also functions as a component of several antioxidant enzymes, notably superoxide dismutase (SOD).
Lutein
Lutein is a carotenoid with powerful antioxidant properties that help protect healthy cells from damage caused by free radicals. Lutein is concentrated in the peripheral area of the retina of the eye. As an antioxidant, lutein can filter out damaging blue light, protecting eye tissues. It also helps protect against UV and free radical damage, thereby supporting healthy vision.
Zeaxanthin
Zeaxanthin is an antioxidant carotenoid that dominates the central region of the retina in the eye. In the inner macula, zeaxanthin concentration is roughly twice that of lutein. Zeaxanthin provides powerful antioxidant properties that are beneficial to the eyes. Zeaxanthin acts as a protective pigment to reduce oxidative stress-induced damage and protect against UV and blue light, thereby supporting healthy vision.
Carotenoid Blend
Carotenoids are naturally-occurring antioxidant nutrients found in orange, yellow and red-orange foods. Carotenoids protect cells against UV radiation and combat oxygen free radicals that would otherwise damage the structural integrity of cells and tissues. The antioxidant activity of carotenoids is especially important for healthy vision, supporting macular health and helping to maintain healthy and clear vision.
Turmeric
Turmeric is rich in powerful antioxidants called curcuminoids. Curcumin, the primary active ingredient, has been studied extensively for its beneficial effects on health. Curcumin provides potent antioxidant effects and supports a healthy inflammatory response, which can help protect the eyes, particularly the retina, from oxidative cellular damage that contributes to vision problems.
Bilberry
Bilberry has been found to support eye health and may help night vision. Heavy readers, computer workers, night drivers, or even those who have trouble adapting to dim or bright lights can benefit from the use of bilberry to help relieve eye strain. Bilberry also helps support those with sensitivity to light, also referred to as day blindness. Bilberry’s active constituents include purple-colored flavonoids called anthocyanins, which are powerful antioxidants that help combat oxidative stress from light exposure.
