Natural cleansing made possible by powerful probiotics and digestive enzymes, boosted by specific herbs honored traditionally used for digestive support.
Enviro-Detox® removes environmental pollutants and toxins that can build up in the body, slowing the body's natural cleansing processes.
It also supports healthy digestion!
Enviro-Detox® is a combination of 13 nutrients selected for their ability to provide ongoing support to the body’s cleansing functions.
Enviro-Detox® supplies a probiotic, Bacillus coagulans, and a digestive enzyme, pepsin. These dietary ingredients are complemented with herbs that have been traditionally used for digestive tract support.
Burdock
Burdock has been traditionally used in herbal medicine to support the digestive system. Burdock contains bitter compounds that promote the secretion of digestive fluids and may help improve appetite. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, compounds in burdock help detoxify the blood and promote healthy circulation. It also helps protect the liver against toxins. Burdock root is a rich source of inulin, a non-digestible dietary fiber that stimulates the growth and activity of beneficial intestinal bacteria and promotes gut health. Inulin also appears to have liver-protecting effects.
Dandelion
The entire Dandelion plant is edible—the flowers, the leaves and the roots. This ubiquitous plant supports digestion and is reported to have tonic effects on the liver and gallbladder. Traditionally used as a liver tonic, dandelion contains polysaccharides that may support liver function and help detoxify the liver. Animal studies show that antioxidants found in dandelion root (including caffeic acid and luteolin) may help protect the liver and support healthy cholesterol levels.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek has been used traditionally to support the digestive tract. Fenugreek contains mucilage, a gel-like compound that causes the herb to swell in water. This creates a viscous, fibrous substance that provides a soothing effect on the mucosal lining of the gut and supports bowel regularity. Fenugreek is commonly used to support digestion and may also help in the management of metabolic health.
Ginger
Ginger has been used as both food and medicine in Asia for thousands of years. Traditionally, ginger has helped with a laundry list of complaints, including cold, fever, joint discomfort, aches, cramps, nervous system support, oral health, circulatory health, plus indigestion, gas, nausea and vomiting. Researchers have found that ginger may help settle the stomach during times of occasional nausea, motion sickness and morning sickness.
Pepsin
Pepsin is used for pre-digesting proteins in the stomach. Pepsin is produced naturally in the body to aid in the digestion of dietary proteins. By aiding in the breakdown of proteins, pepsin can help relieve symptoms of stomach upset, bloating and gas. Although pepsin is a powerful enzyme, it only breaks down proteins in the presence of hydrochloric acid. Pepsin also helps to detoxify the bowel by promoting better digestion which leads to improved intestinal transit time and better elimination of metabolic waste.
Red Clover
Red clover commonly grows in meadows throughout Europe and Asia. The Europeans brought red clover to America centuries ago and it’s now cultivated in North America, too. It was quickly adopted by native residents who used it for respiratory system complaints, skin concerns, and blood purification. Health care practitioners believe that red clover’s diuretic activity “purifies” the blood, improving circulation and helping to cleanse the liver.
Yellow Dock
Yellow dock provides mild colon stimulating activity and astringent properties to keep your bowels functioning properly. Yellow dock also supports liver function and nourishes the urinary system. Yellow dock contains active principles, including anthraquinones responsible for its mild colon-stimulating activity, and tannins, which provide an astringent effect. A member of the buckwheat family, yellow dock grows abundantly throughout the U.S.
Marshmallow
Marshmallow is well-known for its soothing properties, especially for the mucous membranes. Marshmallow naturally contains mucilage, which provides demulcent (soothing) effects on the digestive and intestinal systems. Since the stomach and intestines are lined with these protective membranes, marshmallow eases irritation in the gastrointestinal tract. Marshmallow is also considered mildly laxative and is often used for various intestinal conditions. Marshmallow’s pectin fiber helps the body get rid of substances that often collect or stick to these membranes.
Bacillus Coagulans
Bacillus coagulans is a heat-stable bacterium that survives stomach acids and reaches the small intestine to support microbiome balance and mucosal immune responses. It can readily withstand the stomach’s acidic environment, helping to repopulate the intestines with friendly bacteria to help maintain a balanced gut microbiome and support intestinal function.*
Milk Thistle
Milk thistle helps support the liver's detox function, allowing it to efficiently emulsify fat, break down trapped particles and help remove them from the body. Milk thistle contains a constituent called silymarin, which has been the subject of numerous liver health studies. Silymarin has antioxidant properties and may help stabilize liver cell membranes, preventing the intake of some toxins and subsequent tissue damage. Silymarin also stimulates protein synthesis in liver cells, indicative of tissue integrity. In additional to liver health, milk thistle provides digestive support and promotes bile production.
