How It Works
Lavender is a member of the mint family and is native to Europe. Lavender has primarily been used throughout history as a gentle and mild sedative.
Many baby products today include lavender oil to help calm infants and toddlers before bedtime.
To help promote relaxation and relieve stress, use 1-2 drops of lavender oil and rub them between the palms of your hands, then gently smooth over your pillow before going to sleep. Not only will this make your pillow smell better, but it can also help you fall asleep.
Another option is to rub lavender oil into your hands, cupping them, then holding your hands up to your nose to let you breathe in the floral scent.
Or, enjoy water therapy by adding drops of lavender oil to your bath.
However, lavender oil is good for more than just rest and relaxation.
Lavender has been used for centuries to clean linens, hair and skin.
For those who struggle with frizzy hair, an itchy scalp, or dandruff, use lavender oil on your dry hair to help provide relief.
